COMPASS EXPEDITIONS - THE WORLDS GREATEST TRAVEL JOB
When it comes to extraordinary journeys few experiences can come close to riding a motorcycle across ¼ of the earth’s surface, especially if that expedition happens to traverse two continents from London to Magadan (Far East Siberia).
June 12, 2010 shall see up to 15 riders depart London on the 100 day ride from London, across Russia, Central Asia (including Mongolia) and riding the infamous “Road of Bones” before finishing in Magadan, Siberia. A ride made famous by the Hollywood bikers Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman.
With its own fleet of BMW motorcycles and with clients from around the world bringing their own bikes, “the 2010 London to Magadan ride will be one of those life changing experiences” says Mick McDonald, part owner of Compass Expeditions who will personally lead the ride. “On an epic journey such as this we always provide a trained Medic and a qualified mechanic to accompany us, we are currently looking for trained people to join us” adds Mick.
“The London to Magadan ride certainly ticks off peoples bucket list of things to do before you die and is one of the world’s epic journeys” says Mick. From the storybook history of the fabled Silk Road, the utter beauty and silence of remote Mongolia to the seemingly endless Taiga forests of Siberia, the London to Magadan expedition promises to be an amazing, experience rich journey.
